Bradley Cooper Might Be The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (nymag)
**Bradley Cooper.**
Bradley Cooper might be stepping into George Clooney's role, and not just as
an object of desire and general gadabout. Cooper's now the front-runner to
play Napoleon Solo in Steven Soderbergh's _The Man From U.N.C.L.E._, according
to _Variety_. Soderbergh's and Cooper's dance cards are both pretty full, but
it looks like _TMFU_ would start shooting in the spring, in between Cooper
wrapping _Paradise Lost_ and Soderbergh starting the HBO Liberace movie.
Napoleon Solo's sort of a James Bond-y guy, and where Clooney's suave,
Cooper's a little scrappy, but sure, given that we're all resigned to the idea
of a _Man from U.N.C.L.E._ movie, then Cooper seems like a perfectly
acceptable actor. The question remains, though: Who's going to play Illya?
