* **12th Ave squat house assault: **The Seattle PI's** Levi Pulkkinen** has
found details of a horrible story that allegedly played out inside an
abandoned home on 12th Ave just a block from Cal Anderson Park:
> Townsel and Jones "visited extreme violence to a vulnerable victim, who was
left unrecognizable after the severe beating and photographs of her body after
they had finished with her revealed that her arm was bit to the bone," Senior
Deputy Prosecutor Adrienne Thomas McCoy said in court documents.

> "Photographs of the victim's injuries are revolting," the prosecutor
continued. "She is unrecognizable and beaten to a pulp."

> The woman was discovered at 3 p.m. on Nov. 4 when the owner of a house in
the 1800 block of 12th Avenue arrived to investigate a report that people were
squatting in the otherwise vacant home.
Prosecutors are seeking charges of second degree assault against **Jerry
Townsel **and **Deryl Jones** for the depravity which is alleged to have
occurred over two days before the victim was discovered on the 4th. Jones was
convicted of second-degree murder in a 1987 Spokane killing, Pulkkinen
reports.
